We’ve updated some sections of our Rental Agreement and Terms & Conditions to make them clearer and easier to understand.
 

These updates do not change your rental plan or weekly rental price. They are intended to better explain each party’s responsibilities and reduce misunderstandings.
 

Please take a few minutes to review the key changes below.

1. CTP Insurance (Still Included)
 

Every GOGO Scooter is covered by CTP (Compulsory Third Party) Insurance, as required by Australian law.
 

CTP Insurance helps protect people who are injured in a road accident.
 

CTP covers personal injury claims to other road users and pedestrians in accordance with NSW legislation.
 

However, CTP does not cover:

* Damage to the rental scooter
* Theft of the scooter
* Damage to other vehicles or properties
* Your Basic Liability under the Rental Agreement

2. Damage Protection Plan (Important)
 

We’ve updated the previous Comprehensive Insurance to the new Damage Protection Plan and explain what the Damage Protection Plan does.
 

From the 1st of July 2026, GOGO SCCOOTER will NOT provide comprehensive insurance and your purchased insurance plan will be transfered to the corresponding Damage Protection Plan(The updated T&Cs can be seen at the bottom of this page).
 

The Damage Protection Plan is NOT comprehensive insurance, and it does not remove your Basic Liability completely.

3. Understanding Basic Liability
 

Basic Liability is the amount that the renter is responsible for paying if the scooter is stolen or damaged, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
 

The amount depends on whether you have chosen the optional Damage Protection Plan.

3. If Your Scooter Is Stolen
 

We’ve clarified the steps that must be followed if your scooter is stolen.
 

If this happens, you must:

• Report the theft to the police as soon as possible.

• Notify GOGO Scooter immediately.

• Follow the instructions provided by our team.

• Cooperate with the investigation if required.
   

The Rental Agreement remains active until the theft case has been resolved and a satisfactory settlement has been reached.
 

If required, GOGO Scooter may provide a replacement scooter while the matter is being handled.

4. Theft Prevention Reminder
 

Unfortunately, scooter theft has increased significantly across Sydney.
 

To help protect yourself, we strongly recommend that you:

• Do not leave your scooter parked on the street overnight.

• Always lock your scooter with a high-quality lock.

• Park in a secure location whenever possible.
   

Preventing theft is much easier and less expensive than dealing with a stolen scooter.
